About the Role

This role sits within a newly formed product pod building the Gauntlet App — a next-generation dApp that enables users to deposit and withdraw directly into on-chain vaults. This product represents a major evolution of Gauntlet’s dashboard into a revenue-generating platform, placing you at the core of a high-impact initiative aligned with the company’s strategic growth.

As a Full-Stack Engineer, you’ll work closely with design, product, and research teams to deliver performant, user-centric experiences while building out robust backend infrastructure to support complex DeFi interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and maintenance of full-stack features for the Gauntlet App, ensuring scalability, performance, and reliability.

• Collaborate with front-end engineers to create cohesive, integrated user experiences.

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship, promoting best practices and a culture of engineering excellence.

• Participate in systems design and architecture discussions, shaping the backend services that power Gauntlet’s decentralized application.

• Translate research and product requirements into practical, high-performance solutions.

• Conduct code reviews and design sessions to maintain code quality and consistency.

• Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues across the stack.

Requirements & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience, with an emphasis on full-stack engineering.

• Advanced proficiency in TypeScript for both front-end and back-end development.

• Strong understanding of backend systems, APIs, and distributed architectures.

• Experience designing user-centric applications with intuitive UX and robust functionality.

• Familiarity with Python or ability to work across multiple languages.

• Proven ability to mentor engineers, lead projects, and collaborate effectively in distributed teams.

• Excellent analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills throughout the application lifecycle.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Bonus Qualifications

• Understanding of DeFi concepts such as smart contracts, dApps, or on-chain data flows.

• Experience in fintech or applications that handle financial transactions or sensitive data.

• Prior work with React or other component-based UI frameworks.

• Exposure to Solidity, Rust, or other blockchain languages.

• Experience building data pipelines, ETL tools, or orchestration systems.

• Comfortable working in smaller, fast-paced teams with broad technical scope.
