Job Summary

Base, incubated within Coinbase, is looking for a Senior Fullstack Engineer with a frontend emphasis to help shape the next generation of onchain applications. You’ll build highly responsive, production-grade user interfaces, support open source community development, and collaborate across teams on decentralized solutions using the OP Stack and modern web technologies.

Key Responsibilities

Build and maintain high-quality frontend web applications using React, Next.js, and JavaScript.
Open source internal tools and apps, and manage community contributions.
Support internal teams at Coinbase developing onchain products using best practices in decentralized app (dApp) architecture.
Contribute to OP Stack components that promote Base’s decentralization and scalability.

Qualifications

5+ years of software engineering experience, including 4+ years in modern web development.
Deep experience with JavaScript and frameworks like React and Next.js.
Proven ability to ship user-facing features with blockchain components.
Strong knowledge of dApp patterns, frontend security, and performance best practices.
Ability to work cross-functionally with designers, engineers, and product managers.
Writes clean, maintainable, well-tested frontend code.

Preferred Experience

Familiarity with Golang, Geth, Foundry, or Solidity.
Experience contributing to open source crypto projects (e.g., Base or OP Stack).
Background in growth experimentation or A/B testing.
Experience building responsive web or mobile UIs.
Crypto-native: familiar with Ethereum, ENS, and decentralized apps.
