About the Role

Position: Full-time — San Francisco, CA

We’re seeking a Senior Total Rewards Manager to lead our compensation and benefits strategy, ensuring our programs attract, motivate, and retain top talent across multiple geographies.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with the VP of People and leadership to design and manage compensation programs across regions.

  • Conduct benchmarking and market analyses to define salary ranges, pay structures, and bonus guidelines.

  • Analyze compensation data and industry trends to guide decisions and improve program design.

  • Lead compensation reviews, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance.

  • Collaborate with Recruiting to align job descriptions and pay structures.

  • Partner with People Operations to build benefits programs that reflect company culture and employee needs.

  • Oversee benefit renewals, analyze usage data, and identify opportunities for improvement.

  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.

  • Use HR analytics and forecasting to assess program effectiveness and future compensation needs.

  • Handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in compensation, benefits, or total rewards (experience in tech, startup, or Web3 preferred).

  • Deep knowledge of benchmarking tools (Radford, Mercer) and equity programs.

  • Strong understanding of U.S. benefits compliance and plan design.

  • Advanced Excel and HRIS skills; experience with tools like Pave, Radford, and Mercer.

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-moving environment.

  • Professional, discreet, and trusted partner across teams.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $145,000 – $215,000 (based on experience, skills, and location)

  • Equity: Lumen-denominated grants
