Senior Total Rewards Manager at Stellar
About the Role
Position: Full-time — San Francisco, CA

We’re seeking a Senior Total Rewards Manager to lead our compensation and benefits strategy, ensuring our programs attract, motivate, and retain top talent across multiple geographies.
What You’ll Do
Partner with the VP of People and leadership to design and manage compensation programs across regions.
Conduct benchmarking and market analyses to define salary ranges, pay structures, and bonus guidelines.
Analyze compensation data and industry trends to guide decisions and improve program design.
Lead compensation reviews, ensuring fairness, consistency, and compliance.
Collaborate with Recruiting to align job descriptions and pay structures.
Partner with People Operations to build benefits programs that reflect company culture and employee needs.
Oversee benefit renewals, analyze usage data, and identify opportunities for improvement.
Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
Use HR analytics and forecasting to assess program effectiveness and future compensation needs.
Handle confidential information with professionalism and integrity.
Requirements
5+ years in compensation, benefits, or total rewards (experience in tech, startup, or Web3 preferred).
Deep knowledge of benchmarking tools (Radford, Mercer) and equity programs.
Strong understanding of U.S. benefits compliance and plan design.
Advanced Excel and HRIS skills; experience with tools like Pave, Radford, and Mercer.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-moving environment.
Professional, discreet, and trusted partner across teams.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $145,000 – $215,000 (based on experience, skills, and location)
Equity: Lumen-denominated grants
