About the Team
The Business Operations team serves as the nerve center of Kraken—leading planning, business intelligence, performance measurement, and transformation. The team works cross-functionally with Product, Finance, and Treasury to align strategy and execution while ensuring the company scales efficiently.
Role Overview
As Principal, Business Operations, you’ll lead key initiatives that strengthen Kraken’s financial and operational foundation. Sitting at the intersection of finance, product, and enterprise operations, this role is central to improving company processes, controls, and decision-making as Kraken scales into its next growth phase.
Key Responsibilities
Drive cross-functional initiatives to enhance processes, strengthen controls, and boost efficiency across Finance, Product, Legal, Compliance, and KX.
Maintain and refine core operational processes, ensuring smooth coordination between teams.
Define and track enterprise KPIs, delivering insights that inform strategy and shape company priorities.
Lead annual and quarterly planning cycles, synthesizing input from FP&A, Product, and Data teams.
Prepare business reviews, board materials, and executive reports.
Support integration of acquisitions or partnerships, aligning systems and performance metrics.
Partner with Finance, Audit, and Treasury to establish robust financial controls and scalable business frameworks.
Build trusted relationships with C-suite leaders and cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment and accountability.
Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Business Operations, FP&A, Product Strategy, or Consulting, ideally at a high-growth fintech, crypto, or tech company—or with a top-tier consulting firm or investment bank.
Proven ability to lead complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives from strategy through execution.
Strong understanding of financial planning, reporting, and control processes, and ability to link product decisions with financial outcomes.
Analytical and strategic thinker skilled in identifying key business drivers.
Experienced in company planning cycles and scalable operational systems.
Exceptional communicator and storyteller able to distill complex data into clear executive insights.
High-ownership mindset with a bias for action, adaptability, and hands-on problem solving.
Trusted advisor capable of influencing executive decisions and driving cross-team initiatives.
