Role Overview

The Associate General Counsel will lead litigation and dispute resolution strategy across Uniswap Labs’ global operations. You’ll act as a key advisor on emerging legal issues in crypto and decentralized finance, helping the company proactively navigate complex regulatory environments.

This is a hands-on leadership role suited for an experienced litigator with strong judgment, strategic foresight, and the ability to operate independently within a fast-paced, evolving industry. You’ll manage a global litigation portfolio, partner with cross-functional teams, and develop frameworks that minimize risk while supporting innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all litigation, arbitration, and dispute resolution matters globally, managing strategy and outcomes.

• Partner with internal teams and outside counsel to respond to subpoenas, investigations, and enforcement actions.

• Advise senior leadership on legal risks, regulatory trends, and case law impacting Uniswap’s business and industry.

• Lead initiatives that embed risk awareness and compliance within product, engineering, and business teams.

• Supervise and review litigation documents, including pleadings, briefs, and court filings.

• Conduct and oversee internal investigations into legal, regulatory, or policy matters.

• Manage and evaluate outside counsel performance and budget efficiency.

• Represent Uniswap Labs in engagements with regulators and public officials.

• Collaborate closely with other members of the legal, compliance, and security teams to ensure alignment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of litigation experience, including direct courtroom work across multiple practice areas.

• Proven success managing the full lifecycle of complex litigation, from strategy to resolution.

• Expertise in financial regulation, enforcement actions, or regulatory investigations.

• Experience engaging with financial or crypto regulators and responding to inquiries.

• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to balance legal rigor with business practicality.

• Demonstrated ability to manage outside counsel efficiently.

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of prioritizing across multiple workstreams.

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school; member of a U.S. state bar in good standing.

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $270,811 – $300,901 USD
