About the Role

As a Business Development Manager for xStocks, you’ll drive the expansion of Kraken’s tokenized equities ecosystem, blending traditional finance (TradFi) products with blockchain-based innovations. Reporting to the General Manager of xStocks, you’ll identify, negotiate, and manage high-impact partnerships that shape the future of tokenized equities across global markets.

Remote – United States (Global candidates with APAC or EU experience encouraged)

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, evaluate, and close strategic partnership opportunities with crypto exchanges, custodians, wallets, liquidity providers, and DeFi platforms.

  • Lead Kraken’s outreach and integration initiatives for tokenized equities and represent xStocks across industry verticals.

  • Develop and execute partnership strategies aligned with international growth goals, especially in APAC and emerging markets.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with product, legal, compliance, and marketing teams to ensure smooth and compliant integrations.

  • Educate both internal stakeholders and external partners—especially from traditional finance—on the benefits and mechanics of tokenized equities.

  • Track emerging DeFi, tokenization, and on-chain infrastructure trends to guide strategy.

  • Represent Kraken and xStocks at global conferences and events (~1 week travel per month).

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or institutional sales within crypto, DeFi, capital markets, or digital assets.

  • Deep understanding of on-chain infrastructure, token standards, and market structure.

  • Proven success leading cross-border partnership negotiations and integrations.

  • Strong network and credibility within the crypto or financial services ecosystem.

  • Experience with brokerages, trading desks, or tokenized asset infrastructure.

  • Exposure to regulatory and compliance frameworks for digital assets or securities.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset; thrives in dynamic, high-growth environments.

  • Ability to collaborate globally across time zones.
