As our Community Moderator & Developer Relations Lead, you’ll act as the bridge between the core Affine team and the community building on Bittensor’s Subnet-120. Your work will ensure that technical discussions remain transparent, accessible, and aligned with our mission — while empowering developers and researchers to meaningfully contribute.
This role combines community stewardship with technical advocacy. You’ll help maintain subnet health, grow participation, and create the educational pathways that allow new contributors to thrive.
Success means cultivating a self-sustaining, high-signal ecosystem where builders, validators, and miners can collaborate and compete effectively.
Responsibilities
Manage communication with validators and miners, ensuring clarity, fairness, and alignment with Affine’s mission.
Onboard new participants and guide them through the process of submitting, improving, and competing with models.
Moderate discussions to keep the community constructive, transparent, and mission-focused.
Translate technical updates into clear, actionable insights for developers and researchers.
Maintain and enhance documentation, tutorials, and educational content to support onboarding and learning.
Gather community feedback and relay it to the engineering team to influence product and protocol improvements.
Advocate for developer and researcher needs, ensuring the network remains accessible and rewarding to contributors.
Requirements & Qualifications
Proven experience building or managing technical communities (open-source, crypto, or ML/AI ecosystems).
Excellent communication skills—able to explain complex systems clearly and without jargon.
Background in developer relations, community moderation, or technical advocacy.
Understanding of decentralized networks, reinforcement learning, or machine learning (preferred but not required).
Comfortable blending technical engagement with community management in a fast-moving environment.
Proactive and collaborative mindset with the ability to build trust across diverse, global participants.
