Role Overview

As a Senior Data Scientist, you’ll lead end-to-end data initiatives that drive decision-making across Uniswap Labs. This includes tackling open-ended business questions, analyzing onchain and offchain data, designing experiments, and building scalable data pipelines that power insights across product, growth, and strategy.

You’ll work closely with engineering, product, and leadership teams to uncover actionable intelligence that advances Uniswap’s mission of empowering millions to access DeFi seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct deep-dive analyses using onchain and offchain data, providing strategic recommendations that influence product direction.

• Own data pipelines and ETL processes—from instrumentation and collection to visualization and reporting.

• Build clear, impactful dashboards and visual tools that translate complex insights into business decisions.

• Lead A/B testing, causal inference, and experiment design to validate hypotheses and drive growth initiatives.

• Uphold analytical rigor and ensure results earn stakeholder trust through reproducible, transparent methods.

• Mentor teammates in SQL, Python, and data modeling best practices.

• Collaborate cross-functionally to embed data-driven thinking across Uniswap Labs’ teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field, with 5+ years of data science experience; or Master’s/PhD with 3+ years of relevant experience.

• Proven record of leading high-impact, ambiguous data projects end-to-end.

• Strong expertise in SQL and Python (NumPy, Pandas, etc.).

• Hands-on experience with data modeling tools (e.g., dbt, Dataflow) and pipeline development.

• Deep understanding of statistical modeling, causal inference, and experiment design.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex results for non-technical audiences.

• Demonstrated ability to prioritize and operate independently in a fast-moving startup environment.

Nice to Haves

• Experience in crypto, DeFi, or blockchain analytics.

• Familiarity with onchain data platforms and decentralized ecosystems.

• Prior work in high-growth technology or fintech companies.

• A genuine fondness for the color pink (a signature Uniswap Labs trait).

Compensation & Benefits

• Base salary: $195,000 – $217,000 USD
