Stellar is an open-source, public blockchain designed to facilitate fast, low-cost transfers and interoperability between currencies. Its mission is to connect the world’s financial systems and make cross-border payments accessible. The Stellar Development Foundation is the nonprofit steward behind the network. SDF maintains the protocol, funds ecosystem development, issues grants, and shapes the strategic direction of the network.
